Abstract

The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has made the internet one of the main communication tools, one of which is through social media YouTube. The platform provides various features such as watching, uploading, and sharing videos, making it an effective means of conveying messages to the public. In the midst of the high number of cyberbullying cases in Indonesia, YouTube social media is used as a space for public education. One example is the YouTube account @cerdasberkarakter.kemdikdasmen, which uses public service advertising content to convey educational messages to the public. This study aims to find out how anti-cyberbullying education in public service advertisements on the YouTube account @cerdasberkarakter.kemdikdasmen. The method used is a qualitative approach with the content analysis method according to Parker, Saundage, and Lee, which includes five stages: (1) determining the research objectives and units of analysis, (2) selecting the content, (3) analyzing the content, (4) interpreting the content, and (5) drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that anti-cyberbullying education in public service advertisements on the account is delivered through five categories, namely education on the role of education in building anti-cyberbullying awareness, education on student empowerment as agents of change, education on the role of social support in overcoming cyberbullying, education on digital literacy, and education on the factors that cause cyberbullying. Prevention or anti-cyberbullying cannot be done half-heartedly. A comprehensive strategy is needed to form a wise, caring, and responsible society in using social media.
