Abstract
Gemini is an artificial intelligence (AI) application developed by Google to assist users in various activities such as information searching, content creation, and text- or voice-based interactions. Gemini is designed to provide a smart, responsive, and personalized user experience. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which Gemini is accepted by Generation Z. To achieve this objective, the research adopts the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. A total of 406 respondents participated in the study, and the data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM method with SmartPLS 4 software. However, despite having strong technological support from Google and advanced capabilities, Gemini's popularity still lags far behind its main competitor, ChatGPT, as indicated by its lower number of user visits. This raises questions about the level of user acceptance of Gemini, particularly among Generation Z The results show that eight out of ten hypotheses were supported. Factors such as Awareness, Perceived Enjoyment, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Ease of Use significantly influenced the intention to use. However, Social Influence did not significantly affect Perceived Ease of Use, indicating that Generation Z tends to make technology usage decisions independently. Personalization also strengthens the relationship between perceived usefulness and ease of use toward intention to use, albeit with a weak influence. Overall, Gemini shows high potential for acceptance among Generation Z, particularly if further developed by focusing on personalization, comfort, and ease of use.
