Abstract

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the mining sector recorded a growth of 4.90% in 2024. In the era of global competition, companies need to optimize work efficiency and effectiveness in order to remain competitive. However, PT Elit Kharisma Utama failed to achieve its production target in 2024, the total results achieved were 1,424,906 MT with an annual production target of 2,000,000 MT. Therefore, researchers want to know whether workload and work environment affect employee satisfaction and performance. This study uses the method Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with assistance software AMOS. SEM is a set of statistical techniques that allow testing a relatively complex set of relationships in correlation/regression and structured processes. Sampling withnon-probability sample with the criteria for employees who are directly involved in operations (crew) at PT Elit Kharisma Utama Konawe site totaling 122. The results of this study are that workload and work environment affect employee job satisfaction. Workload and work environment affect employee performance. And employee job satisfaction also affects employee performance. Keywords: Workload, Work Environment, Employee Satisfaction, Employee Performance, SEM.
