Abstract

ABSTRACT Dream pop has evolved into a music genre rich in sonic exploration and open to diverse cultural and local influences. Musicians from across the globe continue to infuse traditional elements into modern soundscapes, crafting unique and expressive musical identities. Alongside this, documentary filmmaking has surged in popularity as a medium that captures reality with emotional depth and reflective storytelling. This trend offers independent bands like Drizzly the opportunity to document their artistic journey not merely as a visual archive, but as a way to share their story, build identity, and foster deeper connections with their audience. In this context, music documentaries serve as a bridge between the work, the creative process, and the listeners delivered through compelling narratives, atmospheric visuals, and the strategic use of social media to expand reach and engagement. Such documentation not only enhances the understanding of dream pop as a genre, but also contributes to the digital cultural legacy that amplifies the voices and spirit of today’s musicians.
