Abstract
The increasingly fierce business competition conditions encourage PT Indo Mineral Raya to adopt the latest information technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in the employee selection process. Employee selection is still classified as conventional, causing employee selection to be less time efficient and not objective. Therefore, a decision support system is needed in the employee recruitment process that is more efficient and accurate. In this study, the solution is provided by building a decision support system using the web-based Preference Selection Index (PSI) method for ranking during employee selection. The framework used in website design is the React Js framework for the frontend, Laravel for the backend, and MariaDB for the database. The PSI method was chosen because it can select candidates without requiring computation of attribute weights, resulting in objective and accurate decisions. This research draws on previous studies that have successfully applied the PSI method in various contexts, such as the distribution of social assistance funds and the hiring of contract employees. The result of this research is a web-based employee recruitment application using the PSI method that has been tested with blackbox testing and confusion matrix with an accuracy rate of 88,7%. Thus, it is hoped that this research can provide an effective solution for PT Indo Mineral Raya in improving the efficiency of the employee recruitment process and provide a foundation for the development of a more efficient recruitment system in the future.
