Abstract
Podcasts are one of the technological developments in the current era of new media. They have become a platform for social critique. The podcast 'Close The Door' is one such medium that utilizes this space for criticism. One of its episodes, titled 'Abangkuuuh... Kok Jadi Emosi Di sini!?' featuring Pandji Pragiwaksono, serves as a case study. This research aims to uncover Pandji Pragiwaksono's social critique within the 'Close The Door' podcast. The method employed is a qualitative approach with digital discourse analysis. The findings of this research reveal that the text of the episode contains social critiques regarding penalties for corruptors, vote-buying practices, and the candidacy of Marshel Widianto, the Minister of Communication and Information. The context of this episode reflects the background of Indonesian citizens, comedians, and presenters, highlighting their competence in delivering social critiques. Actions and interactions are evident on social media platforms like Twitter and YouTube, showcasing instances of social critique. The ideology and power dynamics of podcasts as a form of new media continue to serve similar functions as conventional media, providing a voice for social justice and accommodating the opinions of the entire community.
