Abstract

The fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to environmental pollution, with carbon emissions that exceed those of the international aviation and shipping sectors. The large amount of textile waste and unsustainable fast fashion practices exacerbate global environmental problems. The high urgency of this problem drives the need for educational solutions regarding sustainable fashion to be crucial for changing people's consumption patterns. This research aims to analyze how the content of the TikTok account @dosen_fashyun educates about sustainable fashion. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through qualitative content analysis methods. The results of this research show that the educational content about sustainable fashion on the @dosen_fashyun account covers seven major themes: clothing consumption, sustainable design, greenwashing, local production, ethical production and transparency, clothing use phases, and materials. Through a comprehensive approach, this account not only provides information but also encourages audiences to be critical of fast fashion practices and adopt more sustainable consumption patterns. These findings highlight the important role of educational platforms such as @dosen_fashyun in promoting sustainability in the fashion industry.
