Abstract
In the current era of globalization, companies are required to constantly evolve and adapt to changes in order to remain competitive and relevant in the global business landscape. A company can continue to withstand any changes because it has resources capable of executing tasks to achieve its objectives. With the development of globalization, human resources that meet performance standards in line with company policies are essential. The aim of this study is to determine the influence of job satisfaction on employee performance through work discipline. The method used is a quantitative approach, with a population of 76 employees from the cleaning service department at PT Sasana Duta Millenia Surabaya. The sampling technique employed is saturated sampling, meaning the entire population of 76 cleaning service employees was included in the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires based on indicators of each study variable and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results of the study indicate that high job satisfaction can improve employee performance, while work discipline mediates the relationship between job satisfaction and performance, albeit with a negative influence. This suggests that an increase in job satisfaction, when mediated by work discipline, is associated with a decrease in employee performance.
