Abstract

Human resources are the most important aspect in an organization, they are one of the determining factors of employee performance that determines the level of success of an organization. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the decline in employee performance, especially related to work engagement and workload at PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Nilam. This study uses a quantitative method with a population and samples taken from employees of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Nilam. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling, and to determine the number of samples, the author uses the Slovin formula, resulting in a final sample of 46 people. The data was analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The findings of the study show that work engagement has a positive impact on employee performance, which means that the higher the level of employee engagement in their work, the better their performance. Conversely, workload has a negative effect on employee performance, which means that the higher the workload felt, the lower the employee's performance
