Abstract

The development of information technology has transformed the paradigm of human life, with the internet being a key driver in this transformation. This phenomenon has led to the emergence of the Financial Technology (Fintech) industry, which offers innovative and efficient financial solutions. Amidst this development, Peer-to-Peer Lending services, particularly the Kredivo application, have gained interest as a quick and easy loan alternative. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the influence of trust and total risk on borrowers' interest in using peer-to-peer lending services on the Kredivo application in Surabaya. This study modifies the Technology Acceptance Model with a sample of 400 respondents who have borrowed through the Kredivo application. The analysis is conducted using SEM-PLS with SPSS and SmartPLS software. The results of the thesis show that total risk, perceived usefulness, and comparison directly affect trust. Meanwhile, perceived ease of use does not directly affect trust but indirectly influences trust through total risk.
