Abstract

This research aims to understand and analyze the influence of work motivation and flexibility on performance through job satisfaction of Gojek drivers as an intervening variable. This study belongs to the associative type with a quantitative approach. Researchers drew samples from the population of Gojek drivers in Surabaya using non-probability sampling techniques with a convenience sampling approach. The determination of the sample size was based on Hair's theory, resulting in 100 respondents. The researcher employed data analysis techniques including SEM-PLS analysis, path analysis, bootstrapping analysis, and mediation analysis using the statistical tool SmartPLS version 4.1. The research findings encompass: 1) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Gojek drivers in Surabaya, 2) flexibility has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Gojek drivers in Surabaya, 3) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction of Gojek drivers in Surabaya, 4) flexibility has a negative and nonsignificant effect on the job satisfaction of Gojek drivers in Surabaya, 5) job satisfaction has a positive and nonsignificant effect on performance, 6) work motivation has a nonsignificant effect on performance through job satisfaction, 7) flexibility has a nonsignificant effect on performance through job satisfaction.
