Abstract
In this modern age, parents are required to take better care and maintain health. Health maintenance can be done by implementing clean and healthy living behaviors in daily life. This way of health care can be taught to children from an early age. The method of learning in children is very different, especially in children aged 5 to 6 years who are still in kindergarten. Children are easily bored with monotonous learning methods and long learning durations. In addition, children also need to be reminded to implement clean and healthy living behaviors in daily life. With these problems, the methodology is carried out on this design. The methodology used is qualitative and quantitative method. Qualitative method is by conducting interviews, field observations and also literacy studies. While quantitative methods are carried out by disseminating questionnaires to parents and children. With the accumulation of data, a data analysis is carried out. The analysis is 5W+1H analysis (what, where, when, why and how) and the design process analysis. From the analysis conducted, obtained a keyword design formulation that is "Discipline clean and healthy living early with imagination". which means learning discipline to apply clean and healthy living behaviors in daily life early in a creative way. Keyword is used as a reference for the design of a series of illustrated storybooks about clean living behaviors that suit the needs of children. It is expected that this design can be used as an educational media and a reminder media for children. Keywords: phbs, education, children, storybooks
