Abstract
Coffee is one type of global drink that is loved by most of humanity and has become part of the lifestyle due to the rapid development of the times. Currently, coffee shops are not only in big cities, but have also penetrated small cities. The coffee shop business is not only competing in looking for uniqueness in coffee flavors, but a place that is comfortable and uniquely themed to attract new and regular consumers. The city of Surabaya has many coffee shop businesses that apply modern concepts, and at least those that apply vintage Javanese concepts as a form of appreciation in preserving Indonesian culture. So that there is an innovation in the form of a visual book as the aim of the design so that the community is more involved in Javanese culture. This design uses qualitative methods obtained through in-depth interviews with resource persons and observations. The results of this data collection are then continued with an analysis process for problem solving and exploring solutions to these problems. The data analysis process uses fishbone analysis to explore design solutions. The keywords obtained from the analysis process are that not many people know about Javanese architecture, coffee culture in coffee shops, at least coffee shops with Javanese vintage themes. With these keywords through fishbone analysis will be used as a reference in making the concept of the visual book Kedai Kopi Jawa Surabaya. Visual books will add insight to the readers and strengthen their understanding of vintage Javanese concepts in the modern era. Keywords : Architecture, Coffe Shop, Dringking Coffee, Java
