Abstract

beauty that refers to physical beauty can form beauty standards, which each country or region has different beauty standards because it is influenced by beliefs or systems that have been mutually agreed upon. One of the well-known beauty standards is the Korean beauty standard, which is influenced by the presence of the Korean Wave, it can be seen how the media presents the visuals of Korean artists who can construct that beautiful women are those who have white skin, slim body and are tall. This beauty can be conveyed through Korean Wave products and advertisements. As in this study, which discusses how the representation of beauty in the three advertisements of Wardah Perfect Bright version of Ayana Moon using Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method. In this study, the researchers used three advertisements for Wardah Perfect Bright version of Ayana Moon, namely Wardah Perfect Bright Tone Up Cream, Wardah Perfect Bright Mousturizer, and Wardah Perfect Bright Creamy Foam. The result of this research are the representations in the three advertisements show outer beauty, the representations in the three advertisements show inner beauty, and the myth of Indonesian beauty as a beautiful representation in Wardah Perfect Perfect Bright Tone Up Cream, Wardah Perfect Bright Mousturizer, dan Wardah Perfect Bright Creamy Foam.
