Abstract
The study was conducted to identify the phenomenon of watching television series in large quantities in one sitting or called binge watching. The term binge watching is not yet often used to refer to the tendency to watch one full season at a time. The emergence of this phenomenon stems from a video on demand system that provides television serial content that can be enjoyed directly. Binge watching is a new way of consuming media, which gives viewers the freedom to choose TV content without waiting for traditional television schedules. Researchers analyzed the patterns of binge watching behavior conducted by Generation Z. The results of this study are that Generation Z conducts binge watching behavior patterns because of the ease of access to streaming media making this activity easier to do. The behavior taken is to spend time using online streaming in frequent frequency and long duration. Doing watching activities with various conditions such as when eating, before going to work or when at home. Binge watching tends to be done at night, most comfortable at home. Enjoy American, Korean and Japanese anime television series. The platform chosen as media for watching television series are Netflix, Viu, Drakor.id and Telegram.
