Abstract
Islam is the largest religion in the world which was revealed to humans to worship Allah through the intermediary of His Messenger. Islam has 2 important foundations as a basis for the life of it’s people. These 2 important foundations are the pillars of islam and the pillars of faith. Prayer is one of the obligatory pillars that must be carried out by Mushlims to worship Allah and ask for his blessing and is in the second order of the pillars of islam as a sign of faith in Allah br asking for his pleasure. The condition is that it is obligatory to carry out prayers by performing ablution to clean part of the body so that it avoids dirt and is clean when worshiping using clean running water. As many as 162 respondents told parents of children aged 4-5 years that there were still some children who were not fluent in reading or remembering ablution and prayer movements. In designing this book, using quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. Quantitative techniques refer to questionnaire and qualitative data through interview data and observation data which create visual concepts and verbal concepts that will be implemented in the design of a pop up illustration book about prayer as additional media for children aged 4- 5 years and then analyzed descriptively and 5W+1H to get the right data. From the results of the data collection, a design concept was created “Fun Religious Education ‘ which combines interesting, fun and easy to understand design concepts for the learning audience. Combining attractive illustrations and choosing colors and language that are easy for the audience to understand. With the creation of a pop up illustration book design as a prayer learning medium for children aged 4-5 years, it is hoped that it will be able to make them enthusiastic about learning about ablution and prayer movements and make it easier for parents or teachers to educate their children easily when learning ablution and prayer.
