Abstract
Economic growth in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is influenced by the dynamics of international trade, foreign investment, and capital accumulation in the process of economic diversification. This study aims to analyze the effects of Trade Openness, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) on Economic Growth in GCC countries. The study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from six GCC countries over the period 2010–2024, comprising 90 observations. Data were obtained from the World Bank, IMF, and UNCTAD, and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS, along with tests of differences across countries and separate regression analyses for each country. The results show that Trade Openness has no significant effect on Economic Growth, while Foreign Direct Investment and Gross Fixed Capital Formation have positive and significant effects. Simultaneously, the three independent variables have a significant effect on Economic Growth. The tests of differences indicate significant differences in the characteristics of the variables across countries, while the country-specific regression results show that the effects of the independent variables are not uniform across the six GCC countries.
