Abstract
THE EFFECT OF TRAVEL VLOGGER STORYTELLING ON TOURISM DESTINATION IMAGE (Case Study: Leonardo Edwin's Vlog in Explore Pulau Madura) The development of digital media has provided opportunities for tourism information to be delivered through travel vlog content. The use of storytelling in travel vlogs not only conveys information about destinations but also presents travel experiences that may influence viewers' perceptions of a destination. This study aims to analyze the effect of storytelling dimensions, namely plot, character, message, and conflict, on the destination image of Madura Island, both partially and simultaneously. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 96 respondents selected using snowball sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, partial test (t-test), simultaneous test (F-test), and the coefficient of determination using Adjusted R Square. The results show that all storytelling dimensions have a positive and significant effect on the destination image of Madura Island. Partially, the plot dimension obtained a significance value of 0.038, character 0.001, message 0.010, and conflict 0.006, all of which are below 0.05. Simultaneously, plot, character, message, and conflict have a significant effect on destination image, with an Fvalue of 22.770 and a significance value of 0.000. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.478 indicates that the four storytelling dimensions explain 47.8% of the variation in the destination image of Madura Island, while the remaining 52.2% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that storytelling in travel vlogs contributes to the formation of Madura Island's destination image. Therefore, the integration of plot, character, message, and conflict can be considered in presenting destination information through digital media.
