Abstract
Amidst the ongoing digital transformation, the need for an effective asset management system has become crucial for companies to maintain operational performance and resource efficiency. One approach to addressing this challenge is to build an information technology-based system capable of centralizing and managing asset data in an integrated manner. Given this urgency, the internship program at PT. Sucofindo focused primarily on developing an IT Asset Management website designed to optimally support the tracking, maintenance, and inventory processes of company assets. The development process for this internship project utilized the Laravel framework and the open-source software Snipe-IT. Laravel was selected for its support of modern application development with an efficient and flexible structure, while Snipe-IT was chosen for its specific capabilities in handling various components of asset management. The system development encompassed several stages, ranging from requirements identification and technical configuration to technology exploration, data cleaning and integration, and user interface customization. Key features successfully developed within the system include management modules for assets, licenses, users, and accessories, alongside additional features such as custom fields, status labels, and data import mechanisms designed to ensure system flexibility and scalability. The final outcome of this internship is an IT Asset Management website that enables PT. Sucofindo to manage asset data efficiently, accurately, and in real-time. Beyond enhancing operational efficiency, the system is expected to serve as a foundation for future system developments and represent a tangible contribution to strengthening the company's information systems through the use of open-source technology and best practices in software development.
