Abstract

Indonesia's economic growth is still dominated by household consumption, while investment, the second–largest contributor to GDP, has continued to decline and has not been optimally utilized to support long–term economic growth. At the same time, Indonesia faces climate change challenges and environmental issues that require substantial alternative financing to support the transition toward a sustainable economy. Moreover, despite being the country with the world's largest Muslim population, the development of Islamic finance in Indonesia has yet to be fully optimized. This study aims to examine the effects of green finance, sukuk, and Islamic social finance on economic growth in Indonesia in both the short and long run over the 2018–2025 period. The study employed a quantitative approach using quarterly secondary data, which were analyzed using the Error Correction Model (ECM) with EViews 13 software. The results indicate that, in the short run, green finance, sukuk, and Islamic social finance do not have a significant effect on economic growth. In the long run, all three variables have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. These findings indicate that sustainable finance and Islamic finance instruments play an important role in promoting economic growth, although their benefits require time to materialize. Therefore, the government and relevant stakeholders need to strengthen the development and issuance of green finance and sukuk, as well as optimize the collection and distribution of Islamic social finance, to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.
