Abstract

Tourism destination development does not only depend on the existence of tourist attractions but also on the integration of supporting tourism components. Gresik Regency has various tourism potentials, including Sekapuk Smart Land as an artificial tourism attraction. However, an analysis of the implementation of Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities, and Ancillary (4A) components is needed to identify the current condition of tourism destination management. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 4A components in Gresik Regency Tourism Destination with a case study of Sekapuk Smart Land Tourism Attraction. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on their involvement and knowledge of Sekapuk Smart Land management. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the 4A components at Sekapuk Smart Land has been conducted, although several aspects require further improvement. The Attraction component highlights the uniqueness of the former limestone mining area developed as an artificial tourism destination. Meanwhile, Accessibility, Amenities, and Ancillary components have supported tourism activities but still require further development. This study concludes that the implementation of the 4A components plays an important role in supporting Sekapuk Smart Land development as a tourism attraction in Gresik Regency. Optimizing each component is necessary to improve destination quality and sustainable tourism management.
