Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of local inspections in clarifying the object of dispute, especially in cases of unlawful acts related to the possession of land or buildings without rights, even though it is formally not included in evidence. This study aims to analyze the implementation, evidentiary strength, and obstacles to local examination at the Malang City District Court. The research method used is an empirical legal research method with a qualitative descriptive approach through observation and interviews with Substitute Judges and Registrars. The results of the study show that local examinations are carried out flexibly in accordance with evidentiary needs and have an important role in providing clarity on the object of the dispute and strengthening the Judge's confidence.
