Abstract

Mental health issues in Indonesia, particularly among adolescents, have been increasing due to social pressures, bullying, and intolerance. However, limited access to mental health services and persistent social stigma often hinder effective intervention and support. To address these challenges, HERADA was developed as a chatbot-based platform designed to provide safe, user-friendly, and accessible mental health support services. This study aims to implement the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm to classify users' emotional conditions based on text and voice data. The project employed data collection from reliable sources, data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, and machine learning model evaluation. The application was developed using the Flask framework and various Python libraries to support its artificial intelligence functionalities. The model evaluation results demonstrated excellent performance, achieving an Accuracy of 100% (1.0), Precision of 100% (1.0) across all classes, Recall of 100% (1.0) across all classes, and an F1-Score of 100% (1.0) across all classes. Furthermore, both Macro Average and Weighted Average scores reached 1.0 for all evaluation metrics, including Precision, Recall, and F1-Score. HERADA has the potential to serve as an innovative solution for supporting adolescent mental health, particularly in areas with limited access to professional mental health services. Future development is recommended to include a mobile application version, integration with wearable technologies, and enhanced AI capabilities to provide more comprehensive mental health support services.
