Abstract
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) continue to experience significant growth, requiring business owners to possess the ability to manage their finances effectively in order to support business expansion and ensure long-term sustainability. One of the key factors influencing this process is financial management behavior, which reflects entrepreneurs' ability to develop financial plans, allocate financial resources, record business transactions, and continuously monitor their financial condition. This study aims to examine the influence of financial knowledge, educational level, and personality on the financial management behavior of MSME owners in Kampung Kue Rungkut, Surabaya. A quantitative research approach was employed using the census method, in which the entire population was included as respondents, consisting of 59 MSME owners. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that financial knowledge has a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior. Educational level also has a positive and significant influence on financial management behavior. Furthermore, personality positively and significantly affects the financial management behavior of MSME owners in Kampung Kue Rungkut, Surabaya. These findings suggest that higher levels of financial knowledge, educational attainment, and positive personality traits contribute to improved financial management behavior among MSMEs.
