Abstract

The rapid development of the healthcare industry has compelled medical service providers to continuously implement changes and improve work processes in order to maintain their competitiveness and service quality. However, these change initiatives often encounter challenges, as not all employees possess the same level of readiness to accept, support, and implement organizational changes. Therefore, this study aims to examine how perceived benefits of training, self-efficacy, and Work Engagement influence employees’ Readiness to Change in a medical service company in Surabaya. The study involved 88 employees working in service-related functions who were selected through random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach with SmartPLS 3. The findings indicate that Perceived Benefits of Training and Self-Efficacy have a positive and significant effect on work engagement, which subsequently mediates their influence on employees’ readiness to change.
