Abstract
The influence of digital transformation, specifically digital banking and fintech collaboration, on Indonesian commercial banks' profitability from 2019 to 2024 is examined in this paper. Banking operations have been drastically altered by the quick development of digital financial services; nonetheless, discrepancies between rising digital activity and varying profitability point to a research gap. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate how bank profitability is affected by non performing loans, bank size, fintech partnership, and digital banking. The financial reports of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) provided the data used in this quantitative study, which uses panel data regression analysis. Return on Assets (ROA) is used to quantify profitability, and fintech collaboration indicators and digital transaction values serve as proxies for digital transformation. The findings demonstrate that cooperation between fintech and digital banking has a favorable and statistically significant impact on profitability. Additionally, non-performing loans have a negative impact on profitability, although bank size has a favorable impact. Strong explanatory power is indicated by the model's high coefficient of determination and statistical significance. These results imply that digital transformation enhances bank profitability, but its efficacy is contingent upon successful execution and risk control.
