Abstract

Social media is no longer used solely as a means of communication but has also become a source of income for many individuals, including nano influencers. As individuals who actively create content on social media, nano influencers tend to have irregular income and are frequently exposed to various trends and promotional activities that may influence their consumption behavior. Therefore, this study aims to explore the experiences of nano influencers in building financial resilience through financial patriotism awareness amid the challenges of impulse buying. This study employed a qualitative method using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach. The participants consisted of eight nano influencers who actively use social media. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using NVivo 12 software. The findings indicate that nano influencers build financial resilience by managing their expenses, saving money, maintaining additional sources of income, and adapting their financial conditions when their income declines. The study also found that impulse buying remains prevalent due to emotional factors, promotional activities, social media trends, and content creation needs. Furthermore, the participants demonstrated an awareness of supporting local products as a form of financial patriotism, although their purchasing decisions continued to be influenced by product quality and personal needs. Overall, the findings suggest that financial resilience, financial patriotism, and impulse buying are interconnected in shaping the financial experiences of nano influencers.
