Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, leverage, and dividend policy on stock prices in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period. Profitability is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), leverage is proxied by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and dividend policy is proxied by Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from company financial reports. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 15 companies with an observation period of five years, resulting in 75 observation data. The analysis technique used is panel data regression with Random Effect Model (REM) using EViews 12 application. The results show that profitability (ROA) has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, while leverage (DER) and dividend policy (DPR) do not have a significant effect on stock prices. Simultaneously, profitability, leverage, and dividend policy have a significant effect on stock prices. The Adjusted R-Squared value of 0.2172 indicates that the profitability, leverage, and dividend policy variables are able to explain 21.72% of stock price variations, while the remaining 78.28% is explained by other factors outside the research model.
