Abstract
The development of a modern, user-friendly, and interactive news portal is an effective solution to meet the information needs of society in the digital era. Many current news portals suffer from unintuitive interfaces (UI), unsatisfactory user experiences (UX), slow and unresponsive system performance, and frequent security issues. A proposal to develop a modern, user-friendly, and interactive news portal was submitted to address these problems, focusing on ease of use, attractive design, interactive features, optimal system performance, and guaranteed data security. This portal is expected to be an effective solution for fulfilling society's information needs, enhancing digital literacy, and encouraging active participation in public discourse. This Web-Based News Portal Development Project at PT Winnicode Garuda Teknologi focuses on developing the Rekap.com news portal. The project encompasses both front-end and back-end development. Its objective is to provide up-to-date and reliable information with a modern and user-friendly interface. In its development, the technologies utilized include Laravel for the back-end, and HTML and Tailwind CSS for the front-end. API programming also forms a crucial part of this project, with Postman used as a testing tool. The UI/UX design for Rekap.com has been finalized and is accessible via Figma. The project's source code (repository) has also been uploaded to GitHub. This project aims to create an interactive and responsive news platform. Throughout the development process, topic analysis, system design, program code implementation, and debugging were consistently performed.
