Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of Entrepreneurial Mindset, Financial Motivation, and Family Support on Career Intention in the Gig Economy, both partially and simultaneously, among Business Administration students in Semester 6 and 8 of UPN "Veteran" East Java. The rapid expansion of the gig economy in Indonesia, marked by increasing youth participation in digital platforms, highlights the need to understand the psychological, financial, and social factors shaping students' career orientations in this sector. This study is grounded in Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT), which positions entrepreneurial mindset as self-efficacy, financial motivation as outcome expectations, and family support as contextual support in career intention formation. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. A sample of 125 respondents was determined through proportionate stratified random sampling from a population of 616 students. Data were collected using a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS software. The results indicate that Entrepreneurial Mindset has a significant positive partial effect on Career Intention in the Gig Economy. Financial Motivation shows no significant partial effect, as income uncertainty in the gig economy is perceived as a barrier among financially-oriented students. Family Support has a significant positive partial effect as a contextual support that reduces psychological and material barriers for students. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly influence Career Intention in the Gig Economy, indicating that such intention is a multidimensional construct shaped by the interaction of internal cognitive factors, financial expectations, and contextual support from the immediate social environment.
