Abstract

The globalization of financial markets has strengthened the linkage between domestic stock markets and global economic dynamics. The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG), as a key indicator of Indonesia’s capital market performance, is influenced by movements in international stock indices and global commodity prices. This study aims to examine the effect of the Hang Seng Index (HSI), Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), and Brent crude oil prices on the IHSG at the Indonesia Stock Exchange. A quantitative approach was employed using monthly secondary data analyzed through multiple linear regression. Hypothesis testing was conducted using simultaneous (F-test) and partial (t-test) analyses. The results indicate that HSI, DJIA, and Brent crude oil prices simultaneously have a significant effect on the IHSG. Partially, HSI shows a significant negative effect, while DJIA and Brent crude oil prices have a significant positive effect on the IHSG. These findings provide important insights for investors in understanding the influence of global market factors on Indonesia’s stock market.
