Abstract
PT ABC Utility Company is a subsidiary of PT ABC Company, which provides utility services to companies under the auspices of PT ABC. In its operations, PT ABC Utility Company requires spare parts for maintenance and repair of utility machines. The large number of spare parts required increases the complexity of warehouse operations. This complexity can lead to waste and potentially reduce the effectiveness and efficiency of the warehouse flow. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify waste in the spare parts warehouse process using the lean warehousing method through value stream mapping and to provide recommendations for improvements to reduce waste through root cause analysis (RCA). The analysis revealed that 31 warehouse flow activities with a total lead time of 247 minutes decreased to 24 activities with a total lead time of 172 minutes after the proposed improvements to the spare parts warehouse flow activities.
