Abstract

PT Syaffa Inti Medika is a company engaged in the production of medical apparel, including surgical gowns. In its production process, inefficiencies in the form of non-value-added activities (waste) are still present, resulting in increased production time and suboptimal resource utilization. This study aims to identify waste in the production process and propose improvements using the Lean Supply Chain Management approach. Improvement proposals were developed using the Kaizen 5W+1H approach and visualized in a Future Stream Map. The results show that the proposed improvements reduced non-value-added (NVA) activities by 5, decreased total production lead time from 350 minutes to 300 minutes, and increased production process efficiency from 32.86% to 38.33%. Consequently, a time savings of 50 minutes, or approximately 14.29% of the initial total process time, was achieved. These results demonstrate that the implementation of Lean Supply Chain Management is effective in improving production process efficiency and supporting continuous improvement at PT Syaffa Inti Medika.
