Abstract

Pabrik Bisphenol-A dari Aseton dan Fenol Dengan Proses Kondensasi Menggunakan Katalis Resin akan didirikan di Kawasan industri PT. Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (KIEC), Jl. Asia Raya, Kota Cilegon, Banten, Indonesia. Bahan baku utamanya yakni Aseton (C3H6O) dan Fenol (C6H6O). Proses produksi Bisphenol-A terdiri dari tiga tahapan proses. Tahap pertama, tahap pre-treatment bahan baku, Dimana Aseton dan Fenol cair dengan konsentrasi 99% dialirkan menuju static mixer sebelum direaksikan di dalam reaktor. Tahap kedua, adalah tahap inti, dimanya terjadinya proses kondensasi antara aseton dan fenol membentuk Bisphenol-A dan produk samping berupa air.
