Abstract
This report discusses the author's experience participating in the Certified Internship and Independent Study, a Kampus Merdeka program aimed at providing students the opportunity to learn and develop outside the classroom environment. By participating in this program, which is recognized as an integral part of the curriculum, students are assured of credit conversion that is acknowledged by their universities. The author chose to join the Certified Independent Study in the AWS Cloud Data Engineer and Gen AI Track powered by PT Revolusi Cita Edukasi, a program lasting 5 months from February 16 to June 30, 2024. The purpose of this program is to enhance specific and practical competencies through activities beyond regular coursework. This program involves a capstone project consisting of 7 members, each with distinct roles: Project Leader, Data Visualization, Data Cleaning, and Data Communication. The project focuses on a case study of a data superstore experiencing a decline in profit. The solution to this issue involves combining data with cloud services using Amazon QuickSight as a methodology for data visualization. This approach transforms numerical data into visual formats such as charts. The program concluded successfully, as the author developed skills in collaboration, in-depth analysis, communication, and understanding business problems, thereby comprehending the various efforts needed to increase the profitability of a data superstore.
