Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance measured by Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Earning per Share (EPS) on banking stock prices included in the IDX80 index for the 2020-2024 period using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis methods on 7 banking companies resulting in 35 observations. Secondary data were obtained from financial reports through the Indonesia Stock Exchange and processed using SPSS version 25 by conducting classical assumption tests and hypothesis tests to examine the partial effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that partially, ROA and DER had no significant effect on stock prices, while EPS had a significant effect with a negative coefficient of -57.945 and a significance value of 0.016 (p < 0.05), indicating investor profit-taking behavior when EPS increased; simultaneously, the three variables had no significant effect with an F value of 2.253 and a significance of 0.102 (p > 0.05). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.100 indicates that the model is only able to explain 10% of stock price variation, with the remaining 90% influenced by other factors such as market sentiment, macroeconomic conditions, and monetary policy. Therefore, this study confirms that EPS is the fundamental indicator most considered by investors in IDX80 banking stocks. The research implications suggest that company management maintain consistent net profit growth and investors use EPS as the main indicator in fundamental analysis, taking external factors into account. Further research is recommended to extend the observation period and add moderating variables such as inflation, exchange rates, or other independent variables such as NPM, PBV, and CAR for a more comprehensive understanding. Keywords: Stock Price, Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Earnings per Share (EPS), Banking, IDX80, Financial Performance
