Abstract

The digitalization of the Islamic matchmaking process (ta'aruf) faces significant challenges regarding identity uncertainty (gharar) and the lack of objective compatibility parameters. This research aims to develop "Sekufu," a web-based ta'aruf application designed to enhance user security and interaction quality. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, allowing for adaptive iterations between the design and construction phases. To ensure identity validity, the system implements a Face Verification feature using a hybrid approach combining Haar Cascade Classifier and the FaceNet model, which demonstrated a optimal verification with a threshold of 0.3. Furthermore, to improve objectivity, a mandatory Peer Evaluation mechanism using a Likert scale was applied within guided discussion sessions, generating a quantitative compatibility report. Software quality testing was conducted via Unit Testing, achieving a 100% pass rate with code coverage exceeding 80%. Meanwhile, user acceptance testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded an average score of 93.06, categorized as "Excellent." The results indicate that the integration of biometric verification and structured evaluation successfully creates a safer, measurable, and user-friendly digital ta'aruf ecosystem.
