Abstract
The Field Work Practice (PKL) program conducted through Bangkit Academy, an initiative by Google Indonesia supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek RI) and industry partners such as Gojek, GoTo, and Traveloka, aims to prepare high-caliber digital talent in Indonesia. This report details the experiences and completed capstone project, which involved the development of the WordWarden application. WordWarden is an innovative application designed to detect and censor offensive language in online communication in Indonesian. The project involved a team with expertise in Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Mobile Development. The development process included creating a cloud-based application architecture using Google App Engine, Cloud Run, and Firebase, as well as implementing APIs for user authentication and text analysis. Application testing demonstrated that WordWarden functions effectively in detecting offensive language, providing an optimal user experience while ensuring user data security and privacy. Testing was conducted across various main interface pages, ensuring the application's functionality and responsiveness. Through this project, Bangkit Academy successfully promotes healthier and more positive online communication. Additionally, this project highlights the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in creating technological solutions that positively impact society.
