Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Work-Life Balance (WLB) on Performance with Job Satisfaction and Employee Engagement as mediating variables among paid volunteers. The research explores both the direct relationship between Work-Life Balance and Performance, as well as the indirect effects through Job Satisfaction and Employee Engagement. Additionally, this study describes the real conditions experienced by paid volunteers in balancing their personal lives and their roles as paid volunteers, including the factors influencing their satisfaction and engagement levels. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data analyzed through Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were collected via questionnaires completed by volunteers and verified by team leaders to assess performance variables. The findings indicate that Work-Life Balance has a significant direct effect on Performance, and an indirect effect through Job Satisfaction and Employee Engagement as partial mediators. This suggests that a good work-life balance not only enhances satisfaction and engagement but also positively contributes to improving overall volunteer performance.
