Abstract

The agricultural sector plays an important role in the Indonesian economy, one of which is through cocoa commodities that contribute significantly to the country's foreign exchange. India is one of the main export markets for Indonesian cocoa, with a consistent upward trend in exports over the last five years. The objectives of this study are to analyze the trend of Indonesian cocoa exports to India for the period 2011–2023 using descriptive statistics, to determine the effect of distance, Indonesia's GDP, India's GDP, B2B e-commerce, and India's population on Indonesian cocoa exports using a gravity model, to analyze the relationship between variables in the short and long term using ARDL. The results show that the trend of Indonesian cocoa exports to India has increased steadily each year, indicating a large market potential, Indonesia's GDP and exchange rate have a negative effect, while India's GDP, economic distance, and India's population have a positive effect on Indonesian cocoa exports, in long and short term, India's GDP is the most significant factor in driving Indonesian cocoa exports to India.
