Abstract
The development of payment systems in Indonesia has grown rapidly in line with advances in digital technology, one of which is the implementation of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) for business actors. The adoption rate of QRIS across various regions continues to increase, with East Java being one of the areas with significant participation, reaching 4.51 million business actors. However, its implementation still faces several challenges identified through observations and negative user reviews on the Play Store, such as difficulties in logging in, obstacles during transaction processes, and a high frequency of transaction failures. Therefore, further research is needed to evaluate the factors influencing the use of QRIS as a payment method by MSMEs in East Java, employing the UTAUT model with the addition of the Trust variable. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach with PLS-SEM through SmartPLS software, involving 407 MSME respondents. The results showed that Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, and Social Influence have a positive and significant effect on Behavioral Intention. Trust and Facilitating Conditions were found to have a positive and significant effect on Use Behavior, as did Behavioral Intention, which also had a positive and significant effect on Use Behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of improving service quality, system reliability, and strengthening user trust to sustain and further expand QRIS adoption among MSMEs in East Java
