Abstract
Surabaya has more than 500,000 young people who desperately need space to develop their creativity, innovation, and mental well-being. However, the limited availability of creative and environmentally friendly facilities is an obstacle to supporting the potential of this young generation. The lack of skill-building activities such as art, science, and technology spaces in the city has led to a decline in creative expression, mental stress, and a lack of innovation. This situation highlights the urgency for holistic facilities that not only support creative talents but also improve mental health through sustainable design. The goal of the “Rise and Thrive: Realizing the Eco Youth Visionary Center in Surabaya” design is to provide a creative center with an environmentally friendly architectural approach that integrates creativity, mental health, and sustainability. Using the “Issue Pattern by Programming” design method, the process begins with identifying key issues, such as the lack of creative and mental health facilities, and then developing design solutions. The design concept involves multifunctional zones, the application of green architecture principles, and the use of sustainable materials, such as wood, natural stone, and solar panels, to create an efficient and inspiring environment. The result of the design is a creative center that offers art spaces, technology laboratories, educational gardens, and counseling rooms with eco-friendly designs. With these facilities, it is hoped that the youth of Surabaya can develop their creative potential, reduce mental stress, and become future innovators. This project is also expected to become a model of sustainability and creativity that can be applied in other cities. Keywords: Youth Center, Creativity, Green Architecture, Mental Health.
