Abstract
This study discusses the impact of financial literacy, risk perception, and tax literacy on investment decisions of private sector employees in Surabaya, with fintech technology as a moderator. Private sector employees, especially millennials, have seen an increase in investment, and advances in fintech technology have played a significant role in the investment process. This study used a quantitative approach by administering questionnaires, distributing a Google Form questionnaire to 100 millennial private sector employee respondents belonging to the millennial generation. There are twenty indicators were provided to the respondents. Data analysis used SmartPLS 4.0 to examine the relationships between the independent, moderating, and dependent variables in this research model. This study findings indicate that financial literacy contribute to investment decision-making by private sector employees. Risk perception also contributes to investment decisions made by private sector employees. Furthermore, tax literacy also contributes to investment decision-making among private sector employees. Furthermore, this study shows that fintech technology is able to moderate the relationship between financial literacy and risk perception on investment decisions. However, fintech technology is unable to influence tax literacy in its influence on investment decisions. This is in line with the Theory of Planned Behavior, which states that in decision-making there are roles of attitudes, norms, and control of a person's behavior.
