Abstract
PT Industri Kemasan Semen Gresik faces the problem of waste in the kraft bag production process that exceeds the company's established standards. This condition causes suboptimal production results, requiring additional time for repairs and re-production to meet customer demand. This study aims to minimize waste and improve the efficiency of kraft bag production processes at PT Industri Kemasan Semen Gresik by applying Lean Manufacturing principles. The methodology employed is quantitative descriptive, relying on primary data from observations, interviews, and surveys, as well as secondary data from internal company documents. Analysis techniques include the use of Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) through the Fishbone method and 5 Whys, as well as waste assessment using a Likert scale. The research results indicate that certain types of waste, such as overprocessing, defects, and motion, are the primary sources of waste hindering production efficiency. Improvement recommendations were made through adjustments to the work layout and the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance to enhance production system performance. The overall research findings demonstrate that the Lean Manufacturing approach is effective in systematically identifying and eliminating waste to improve production process efficiency.
