Abstract
This study aims to analyze how dangdut fashion trends are displayed and deconstructed through visual content uploaded on Instagram by two different figures: @isdadahlia and @cadburylemonade. The research adopts a qualitative content analysis method with a descriptive approach, focusing on visual elements such as fashion styles, colors, accessories, and other symbolic components. The findings reveal that the @isdadahlia account maintains a classic glamor and elegant dangdut fashion style aligned with her identity as a professional dangdut singer. On the other hand, @cadburylemonade offers a new interpretation of dangdut fashion through an experimental, eccentric, and artistic approach as a form of self expression. This phenomenon indicates a deconstruction of the conventional meaning of dangdut fashion, which has long been associated with certain social classes and exaggerated aesthetics. The study concludes that social media, particularly Instagram, has become a crucial space for shifting meanings and cultural representation through visual appearances, as well as a creative medium for redefining identity through fashion.
