Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that influence gold prices in Indonesia. The approach used is quantitative, employing multiple linear regression analysis along with classical assumption tests, including tests for normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bank Indonesia, and the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019 to 2023. The results indicate that all four independent variables have a significant effect on gold prices. Partially, per capita income and inflation have a positive and significant effect on gold prices, while the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) and deposit interest rates have a negative but not significant effect. These findings suggest that gold prices in Indonesia are influenced by macroeconomic conditions, making it important for investors and policymakers to consider these indicators when making investment decisions. Keywords: Gold price, per capita income, inflation, IHSG, Deposit interest rate.
