Abstract

This study aims to prove the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product, Population, Average Years of Schooling, and Provincial Minimum Wage on Employment Opportunities in West Java. This study uses secondary data or time series over a period of 14 years, namely from 2010-2023. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that overall the independent variables, namely gross regional domestic product, population, average years of schooling, and provincial minimum wages have a significant positive effect on employment opportunities in West Java. Partially, the variables of population and average years of schooling have a positive and significant effect on employment opportunities in West Java, while gross regional domestic product and provincial minimum wages do not have a significant effect on employment opportunities in West Java. These findings underline the importance of strengthening gross regional domestic product, managing population numbers, increasing average years of schooling, and adjusting provincial minimum wages in efforts to sustain development in West Java.
