Abstract

Complex employment problems in the Jabodetabek area are characterized by an imbalance between the growth of the working-age population and the ability to absorb labor. This causes an imbalance between the availability of jobs and the number of job seekers, which is characterized by fluctuations in the open unemployment rate, shifts in the center of labor absorption. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Minimum Wage, Domestic Investment (PMDN), and the number of Micro and Small Industries (IMK) on labor absorption in the region during the period 2017-2023. The research method used is a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and other related agencies. The results show that the minimum wage variable, and the number of micro and small industries have no significant effect on labor absorption, while domestic investment has a positive and significant effect on labor absorption. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect labor absorption in Jabodetabek area.
