Abstract

The presence of online media in society significantly enhances everyday life. It facilitates the rapid spread of news and assists people in finding information. The media also plays a crucial role in shaping perceptions and stereotypes within society. However, unbalanced reporting or an excessive focus on a particular group can lead to distorted images. One notable phenomenon is the perceived arrogance of car drivers, particularly those behind the wheel of SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles) such as the Fortuner and Pajero, which has become a focal point on highways. This study will specifically examine members of the Driving Santuyy community to understand their perspectives. Using a qualitative research approach, the aim is to provide a broader understanding of social reality from the participants' viewpoints. Data collection will take place in natural settings, involving interviews, documentation, and literature reviews. The goal of this research is to describe how members of the Driving Santuyy community perceive the stereotypes associated with Pajero and Fortuner drivers in Indonesia.
