Abstract

The selection of this topic is based on several strong reasons. First, batik, as an Indonesian art and culture, holds significant economic and cultural value but often does not receive adequate attention in this digital era. Second, there is a need to support local batik artisans to remain competitive in the global market with the help of digital technology. Third, educating about batik, from its history and production techniques to the meanings behind its motifs, is crucial and can be easily accessed through a digital platform. This internship involves stages from UI/UX design, frontend implementation with ReactJS, backend development, application testing, to the deployment process. This project addresses challenges such as designing and implementing an attractive website, presenting educational information interactively, utilizing ReactJS for a dynamic user experience, and measuring the website's impact on batik sales and appreciation. This encompasses design principles, Tailwind CSS, web application security, testing, and deployment. The project's objectives include understanding the workflow at Alterra, successfully completing website development, identifying issues faced by batik artisans, introducing effective web application development methods, and evaluating the website's positive impact. The result of this project is the Kreasi Nusantara admin web application with features like CRUD management for products, articles, and admin. The internship at Alterra Academy provides valuable opportunities for students to develop both technical and non-technical skills crucial in the IT industry. They deepen their knowledge of technology and application development while understanding the importance of teamwork, project management, and good documentation. This experience is expected to provide valuable preparation for students to face challenges in the working world and make significant contributions to the information technology industry.
